What Are PROGEN PRP Injections?

PROGEN PRP involves drawing a small sample of your blood and separating the plasma, which contains growth factors critical for healing and skin regeneration. Originally used in orthopedics to speed recovery from injuries, PROGEN PRP has been adapted for hair and skin treatments, enhancing the body’s ability to heal and regenerate naturally. Effects can be amplified when combined with microneedling or laser treatments.

Cost of PROGEN PRP Therapy

PROGEN PRP pricing varies depending on provider, location, and treatment area. Costs are influenced by the number of sessions needed to achieve your goals.

To determine the best plan for your skin, call L’amour MedSpa to schedule a consultation, where our experts will create a custom program designed to address your specific concerns and help you achieve your ultimate skin goals.

Depending on the treatment area, PRP treatments are relatively quick and can take 30 to 60 minutes. You'll want to factor in some time for numbing, too, since the application of numbing cream before the treatment makes it more comfortable.

There's little recovery with PRP other than minimal redness for the first few days. There may also be some pinpoint bleeding on the face, but that too will subside. Some patients say the skin feels tender, slightly swollen, or even hot to the touch after the treatment.Following the treatment, you'll notice healthier-looking skin. Collagen production will kick in over the next four to six weeks, and the skin will show signs of continued improvement. However, you'll need to keep up with regular treatments to maintain the results.

Regardless of the treatment area, the principles of a PRP treatment are the same from one to the next:
  1. Your provider will draw blood from your arm. The blood is put into a centrifuge, and the platelets are separated from everything else in the blood.
  2. Microneedling is performed to create open channels in the skin.
  3. The PRP is then applied to the skin, which will begin to regenerate and renew the skin.

Rejuvenating the skin cells to act younger and have minor damage will allow your skin to look better and more youthful. Our cells age from the point they are today, but there's always room for improvement and ways to create younger-looking skin.
